About Our History

1 Salon Life Academy, up and running since 2016, is a warm and inviting place where kids and teens can grow and learn. We carefully design our curriculum to spark curiosity, build basic skills, and offer hands-on experience, all while promoting positive growth in both body and mind. Our ultimate goal is to boost your child’s social skills and pave the way for future success – and we make sure they have plenty of fun along the way!

Our Purpose

At 1Salon Life Development Academy, our Mentoring Program warmly welcomes kids aged 7 and up, assisting them in growing into constructive community members. The program embraces all children, both boys and girls, and is crafted to guide them towards a bright future, regardless of their past experiences or challenges.

If your child has faced tough times, got tangled in juvenile crime, or has had a brush with delinquency, our program can help flip the script. We’re all about breaking the cycle of crime in our community and paving a positive path for those impacted. We firmly believe that stepping in at the right moment can transform not just the life of a young person, but also enrich our community. We’re committed to making a difference – for our youth, and for our neighborhoods.

Mentoring Program

At 1 Salon Life Academy, our Mentoring Program is an open door for kids 7 years and up, empowering them to mature into responsible members of society. Both boys and girls are welcomed with open arms into our program, which aims to help them navigate their future confidently, regardless of any past challenges they’ve faced.

Whether they’ve been through tough times, gotten involved in juvenile crime, or dealt with delinquency, our program is here to help break those chains. We believe that stepping in and offering a guiding hand can make a world of difference, not only for the young individuals but also for the larger community. We’re on a mission to positively transform our youth and communities, one child at a time.

Mentoring Curriculum

Our fun-filled Program runs for eight hours a day, five days a week. We also offer engaging workshops, training, and social activities over the weekends. Our schedule is pretty flexible, operating from Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (optional). Fees apply.

Our Curriculum is like an exciting journey into the world of hair care! Your kids will learn to master the art of braiding and how to keep hair looking gorgeous. Plus, they’ll also get insights into dealing with clients, presenting themselves professionally, and handling any tricky situations that may come up when they’re helping their clients. Trust us, it’s more than just a course; it’s a fun and engaging learning experience!

Health & Safety

At 1 Salon Life Academy, we care deeply about our young learners aged 7-17 and their well-being. Think of us as the protective big sibling, always looking out for them. During our fun practical sessions, experienced teachers provide careful guidance, and we use kid-friendly tools and equipment. Plus, we train our students on safety from day one!

Our learning spaces are always spick and span, and we ensure everything your child touches is clean and safe. We also make sure there’s enough time for rest and snacks, because who doesn’t love snack time, right?

We’re big on kindness and respect here, and we make sure everyone feels included and supported. So, don’t worry, there’s absolutely no room for bullying or harsh words in our academy.

In case of any little bumps or scrapes, we’ve got solid emergency procedures and protocols in place. At 1Salon Life Academy, safety is always first, but fun is a very close second!

Our spaces are designed to mirror real-life salons and spas, equipping students with a practical understanding of their future workplaces.
